Hi Guys,  If you follow my twitters then you know I went out looking for a bike today.  I finally found one a hybrid Specialized, made most for city trails but will do ok on packed dirt trails.  Brett got a mountain bike but I didn’t want one of those cause then Brett would talk me into going down a mountain and I would likely hurt myself.  I already hurt myself just test riding.

It was bad enough I was wearing flip flops but the bike also had straps on the pedals that don’t allow you to pull your foot out when you are about to fall.  I fell and my foot got stuck and it hurt like hell.  I have never broken a real bone so I don’t know if something is broken in there or not.  I ended up buying that bike minus the straps and was able to ride it home.  I can still walk.  But my foot is really swollen, numb and turning darkish.  I already RICE’ed it.  Guess I will have to wait a few days for the swelling to go down before I can say how bad it is.

I am glad I did my cam show yesterday though.  I am dirty and really need a shower.  But since standing is not the most pleasant thing I am going to run a hot bath, pour a cold drink and float for a while.  I will keep my foot elevated and out of the hot water.

Let’s all hope it is not broken.  That would put a real cramp in my workouts and summer is coming fast!
